Assembling Hygiene Kits

Today was a full day of assembling hygiene kits with Global Medics volunteers. Our goal was to shoot for around 400 hygiene kits fully assembled and ready to be distributed.

Graeme explaining the three step filtering system for the community size water filter!

Aqua Response Skid Mounted Water Treatment Systems: A packaged water treatment system designed to deliver microbiologically safe drinking water from surface water sources such as a lake, pond, river, cistern etc. There is a high performance ultraviolet disinfection technology. It features a triple-stage treatment design. The first stage removes dirt, rust, sediment, silt, mud and other particulate matter. The second stage reduces organics and the third stage disinfects the water by destroying bacteria, coliform bacteria (i.e. E. coli), viruses, and protozoan cysts. Rainfresh Aqua Response Unit is ideal for disaster-relief first response, remote villages, mining camps and other applications where safe drinking water is required at high flow rates.

GM volunteers showing our local volunteers what are the items in the actual hygiene kits.

Lot's of rope that needed to be individually cut and wrapped into a knot! Everyone was hard at work to make sure every bundle of rope was tied neatly to put into each of the buckets.
1st batch of hygiene kits finished!

Folding the cloth diapers into fours!

Doing mini dipper sets to be put into the bigger buckets!
2nd batch of buckets!

Half way done! About 250 buckets finished!

Thanks to all the local volunteers for their extreme hard work and dedication.
Finished for today! 415 completed hygiene kits! Wow, good job!
