Hygiene Kit Sorting Activity + TIMA Nepal Meeting

Today was a very special day, because ever since the big volunteer group left on July 1st, we have not had time to visit all the volunteers at the IDP camps in Bhaktapur. So today's volunteer session was especially dedicated to them. I am very excited to see all of them! It has been a long while! I've missed them very much!

This is how I start my day! Two cups of black coffee! CHECKED!
One of our storage areas is in Seabird College and we are so grateful to the college's principal for letting us use the space. He is so awesome and friendly. He even made a Tzu Chi Foundation Temporary Resting Center upstairs for us. He says that when we move things in and out of the storage and when we get tired, we can just go up stairs to rest! How thoughtful is that!
I am introducing the eco-friendly blankets and the multi-purpose beds of Tzu Chi to the three American volunteers. They were very impressed with the Taiwanese technology and really wanted to know more about the various Daai Technology Products.
I am so touched by the Maheswori Camp youth volunteers. They are all so active and really want to carry out Master's teachings in everyday life. When they heard about the Color Powder Explosion incident in Taiwan, where over 500 youth were badly burned, they immediately went around with their own personally made bamboo banks (real bamboos) and collected charity funds to help the victims in Taiwan. They have a huge heart and even though they are all living in tent camps, they are still willing to help others who are in need. This is the spirit of the bamboo bank! Anyone can help! It is not about the money amount, but it is the good thought and kindness that is behind it that goes a long way! The cycle of Great Love has once again been shown by these young volunteers!

Reorganizing the hygiene packs!
Everyone is hard at work doing the hygiene packs! We got the system down! 415 buckets to go!
Dr. Nirdesh and I, the dream team for the final check point! You got an unorganized bucket....just hand it to us, we will fix it!
One of the American volunteer, Adam, tried acupuncture for the very first time! He was literally ON FIRE with the herbal marshmallow flaming technique. Adam was in the Israeli Army for three years and totally was like "No Big Deal" with the needles. Hats off to you Adam!
TIMA Nepal core team meeting! We have so many exciting programs planned for these two months! So many things to talk about today! So grateful for these doctors and hospital directors.
