Welcome brothers and sisters of the Thailand Tzu Chi Branch and Jing-Si DuangKaew Foundation!
Karma really works in magical ways. In April, I was invited to go give a sharing session in Thailand by one of the Tzu Chi commissioners in Taiwan who had a local contact there. She had heard about my story and was very touched by everything that I have done. She was set on having me head on over to Thailand for a couple of days, but it eventually did not work out with everyone's schedules. Then the Earthquake in Nepal happened and this sharing session was never rescheduled again. Little did I know that the affinity would continue on directly to Nepal???!!!??? So when I walked in to the room to introduce myself to everyone, the first reaction was "you are Lori??? the Lori that was suppose to come do a sharing for us? We didn't know you were in Nepal, or else we would have came sooner!" Oh mine, the world is really a small place. Everything that was suppose to happen was already written! I was due to give this sharing session, so now the time has come. Instead of me heading over to Thailand, they came to me in Nepal. So I gave a brief sharing session to the group, while we waited for the rest of the team to show up! I am so grateful for all of these opportunities to share and learn from everyone! Just absolutely floored by the hidden surprise!

Preparing for the Peace Chanting Event!
The event took place at The World Peace Temple! It is such a peaceful place! What an amazing opportunity to attend such an event!
I was very touched and overwhelmed with emotions during the Peace Chanting, because everything was just so spiritually connected. The place, the people, the situation, the lyrics. Absolutely everything. Even though I didn't understand the language or know the words to chant, but I found myself chanting out loud without thinking. The words and the sounds were just coming out by itself. The chants were very powerful and moving. I didn't have to know the meaning, because I could already feel it with my heart. I felt each word with every single molecule in my body. That was how powerful it was. I was also emotional due to the fact that I saw Master Cheng Yen's portrait right up front and it just felt like Master was there chanting with us. I had a lump in my throat because it reminded me of what Master said, "Please help bring me to Nepal. Help me to be able to be with the people of Nepal." We did it! She was there with the Nepalese chanting at that very moment!
All the different nuns and monks from various temples came to attend this Peace Chanting! The energy at the event was incredible and words cannot even begin to describe all the emotions that were going through my soul! My spirit was awaken and completely alert to my surroundings!
I am so grateful to the Thailand Tzu Chi Volunteers and also to the Jing-Si DuangKaew Foundation for inviting us to this wonderful event. So happy to see each and everyone of you and to share this special occasion in Nepal! What an unforgettable day!
Thanks for all the local support guys! You guys rock!
